Coach J’s Note“Your body is your engine. Feed it right, train it hard, and trust the process. Every athlete develops differently — focus on how you feel, how you perform, and how you recover. The numbers on this page are just information, not a target. You set your own goals. If you have questions about nutrition or body composition, talk to your parents and a sports nutritionist.”

Understanding Body Composition

BMI is just one number. It does not distinguish muscle from fat. A muscular athlete and a sedentary person can have the same BMI but very different body compositions. Use it as general awareness, not a verdict.

Every athlete is different. Your body type, genetics, growth stage, and event all play a role. There is no single “right” weight for any event. What matters is how you feel, how you perform, and how you recover.

For youth athletes (under 18): Your body is still growing and developing. Weight fluctuations during growth spurts are completely normal. Never restrict calories to hit a number. Focus on eating enough quality food to fuel your training.

This is YOUR tracker. The personal goal weight field is optional and set entirely by you. No coach, no pressure — just a way to track your own progress if you choose to.

Talk to the right people. If you have questions about nutrition, body composition, or weight, talk to your parents and a licensed sports nutritionist. They can give you personalized guidance that no calculator can.
