RSP Certification is what unlocks the 22 training programs Coach J built — the same Olympic-level methodology used to win an NCAA Championship and represent the U.S. in 2004. Certified and Master subscriptions bundle this credential, so you're not paying twice.

Already certified through another path? You can buy certification standalone if you don't want a monthly subscription. Subscribe to Apprentice + standalone cert if you prefer to separate the two.

Honest answers about coaching on RSP

Do I need certification to use the platform?

No. Apprentice ($29/mo) gives you full platform tools — dashboard, workout builder, messaging, assessments, athlete management — without certification. Certification unlocks the 22 RSP training programs, the Verified Coach badge, recruiting features for your athletes, and coach community access. If you only want the tools, Apprentice is enough.

What's bundled vs. sold separately?

Certified ($79/mo) bundles L1 + L2 certification — you get both credentials as part of your subscription, paid monthly. Master ($149/mo) bundles L3 Master Certification on top. Apprentice ($29/mo) includes the platform tools only; if you want certification at the Apprentice tier, buy it standalone ($199 / $299 / $499).

How do I get paid by my athletes?

You handle athlete payments outside RSP — through Venmo, Zelle, cash, your existing invoicing, or any method you prefer. RSP doesn't take a transaction cut from your client payments. We're a platform fee, not a marketplace. The exception is Master tier revenue share (35% / 10%) which only applies if Master coaches choose to participate in our managed-client program.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly billing, cancel anytime from your Coach Dashboard. Your athletes keep their training history. Your coach profile goes inactive in the directory until you resubscribe. If you cancel Certified or Master, your bundled certification credential remains valid — you earned it, you keep it.

What happens when I hit my athlete cap?

Apprentice (10 athletes) and Certified (50 athletes) will show you a notification when you hit your cap. You can upgrade tier instantly or remove inactive athletes. Master tier has no cap. Existing athletes are never automatically removed.

Can I switch tiers later?

Yes. From your Coach Dashboard, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Stripe pro-rates the difference automatically — if you upgrade mid-cycle, you only pay the prorated upgrade amount. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at your next renewal.

What's the difference between this and being an RSP facility coach?

RSP facility coaches at our Carrollton, TX location work on RSP staff — you're an employee, not a subscriber. This page is for independent coaches who want to use the RSP platform with their own athletes nationally. Different model entirely. Facility coaches don't pay a subscription.
